![]() | We're very excited to confirm that the first single from Shakira's forthcoming new album is She-Wolf, which will be available worldwide from July 13th, both as a download and on CD. The Spanish-language version of the track, Loba, is available to hear now on the player at Shakira's MySpace.
Shakira wrote and produced the energizing, electro-tinged She-Wolf with John Hill (Santigold) and penned the typically quirky lyrics, in which she weaves a mischievous tale of a metaphorical she-wolf. An inventively sexy video directed by Jake Nava and featuring the metamorphosis of a woman told through her unique dance techniques, will follow the single in late July. The full album (title to be announced soon) is due out in October 2009 from Epic, a division of Sony Music. The album features a predominantly English track list with a follow up album of new and unique repertoire in Spanish to come in 2010. Look out for lots more info here on Shakira.com soon... |
![]() | Michael Jackson was the King of artistic genius, of dance, of innovation and fantasy. He reinvented the pop genre and found a new way to articulate music through images that will last forever. Of his voice Frank Sinatra once said that he was "the only singer I've seen who was better than me." With his death, the King is transformed into a Legend for all time. My profound sympathy to his family, fans and loved ones. Shakira |
