Shakira nominated for Do Something award

DoSomething.org and VH1 have partnered to present The Do Something Awards to honor people's commitment to social change. The Do Something Awards will air live July 19, 2010 on VH1 and will be hosted by Jane Lynch (from Glee).

Shakira has been nominated in the Music Artist category, for her charity and campaigning work. Click here if you'd like to vote for her. Thanks guys.

Social change!

Changes in the world has occurred as a result of great thoughts by great minds and super decision makers to execute them without compromise. As a saying Aim the stars, you will end up in moon applies here. Philanthropy services are very easy to think but hard to plan and execute, that too which makes a social change altogether. Many people tried for it and sadly very few were successful in this. Perseverance and sustenance being an integral part of this process requires extreme patience and the hunger of satisfying the needs of poor and helpless. Shakira is a promising individual who have the great potential to achieve this and she proves them gradually in her life. So much in this young age is obviously rare. The prayers of the people, children will surely bestow blessing to her. Let her selfless actions towards the benefit of human kind be a model to millions! Best wishes , Sivaprasad
